September 14, 2012 - Columbia, MD. iBiquity Digital Corp., the developer of HD Radio Technology announced today plans for a broad display of products and services at the upcoming Radio Show in Dallas. The HD Radio Booth at the 2012 Radio Show will be a full 110 feet in length and will feature a wide range of products for attendees to interact with. The display is arranged to demonstrate the appeal of HD Radio Broadcasting when digital broadcast radio is “done right.”

28 OEM Brands – 150 Vehicles

The HD Radio booth will feature 7 of the total 150 HD Radio equipped vehicles now available from leading OEM Brands. Retail partner CarToys will also show two custom cars with state of the art HD Radio Technology systems. These vehicles represent the range of price points available today for consumers. The Chevrolet Traverse will be displayed for the first time, and will feature factory installed HD Radio Technology with Artist Experience and iTunes Tagging.

CarToys, the nationally recognized auto aftermarket retailer will occupy a dedicated area of the HD Radio booth. The presence of CarToys at the Radio Show will allow broadcasters to interact with experienced sales people who can explain how consumers feel about HD Radio technology. “We speak with the broadcaster community a lot about the retail experience,” said Joe D’Angelo, Senior Vice President of Broadcast Marketing and Advanced Services. “We felt it timely to bring an experienced retailer to the show so that our broadcaster partners might discuss first hand what consumers are saying inside retail stores.”

As the cost associated with building HD Radio products continues to decrease, new accessible price points are hitting retailers’ shelves. The new Insignia HD-RAD, the first home audio product to feature HD Radio Technology and be priced under $50 will be on display.

The HD Radio Booth at the 2012 Radio Show will be located inside the Convention Hall and will span the entire length of the back wall.
