Chevrolet Displays HD Radio™ Technology at the 2012 Radio Show

September 17, 2012. Columbia, MD. iBiquity Digital Corp., the developer of HD Radio Technology announced today the opportunity for attendees at the 2012 Radio Show to experience HD Radio broadcasting for the first time in a Chevrolet. On display and available for attendees enjoyment will be the new 2013 Chevrolet Traverse.

The Traverse will be available in dealerships nationwide, Fall of 2012, with HD Radio Technology as a factory standard feature. The radio includes advanced services Artist Experience and iTunes Tagging, as well as PSD, Digital Sound, and HD2/HD3 Channel reception.

Chevrolet is one of 28 OEM Automotive brands committed to offering factory installed HD Radio Technology. There are now more than 150 vehicles available for consumers to select from, with MSRPs starting at $16,100.

“Now, each year millions of new OEM Automobiles with factory installed HD Radio Technology are rolling off dealer lots,” stated Bob Struble, President and CEO of iBiquity. “We have achieved critical mass in this important area for the broadcast industry and we encourage the broadcast industry to work with us to maximize the associated revenue opportunities.”

The HD Radio booth at the 2012 Radio Show will be 200 feet in length and in addition to the Chevrolet display will feature 5 other OEM Brand vehicles, two auto aftermarket show cars, a dedicated area to the TagStation interactive advertising system, and home and portable audio products.
